Our story began with our ancestors, who cultivated our first vines and dared to dream of creating champagne.
It all started with Orcise, born in 1870, who farmed around 80 ares of vines near Mutigny.
She passed her craft on to her son Julien, who doubled the cultivated area. Julien produced the first Husson champagne while also working for Maison Pommery, like many winegrowers of that time.

Robert, Julien’s son, sought independence. While working for Maison Gosset in Aÿ, he and his wife purchased additional vineyards. At that time, all grapes were delivered to and sold through a cooperative.
In 1973, Robert became a “récoltant-manipulant” (grower-producer). During the winter of 1979, he decided to stop vinifying at the cooperative, even though he had no pressing facilities. Within eight months, a building with a press, winery, and cellar was constructed and ready for the 1979 harvest!

Our father and grandfather managed the estate with passion and skill. He was a man of the land, with a big heart, and "quite the character," as those who knew him often said.
In 1996, Robert retired, passing the reins to his son Xavier. Together, they continued to work side by side.
Today, Xavier carries the torch with a fresh vision for viticulture: sustainable practices that are more respectful of the environment and biodiversity.
Starting in the early 2000s, Xavier introduced mechanical soil cultivation and stopped using chemical growth inhibitors, making him a pioneer in soil management.
Like his father, Xavier is passionate about vine work. Not a day goes by without him visiting his vineyards. He still drives the same DEROT single-row tractors he has been using since he was 20 years old!
New ideas and projects are already taking shape with Alicia, Xavier’s eldest daughter. After completing her studies in viticulture and winemaking, she decided to join her father on the family estate.
Her grandmother had predicted her destiny as a winemaker. As an heir to a lineage that values independence, Alicia chose viticulture out of passion.
Together, Alicia and Xavier earned the High Environmental Value (HVE) certification, recognizing years of environmentally conscious efforts.
Like their predecessors, they aim to foster warm connections with their customers.
